About Us

As global populations age, sarcopenia and disuse atrophy are emerging as critical targets for preventative medicine and longevity. The Vital Muscle Association is established to prevent chronic disease through muscle-centric health programs and advocate for policy reform, including:

   - Amendments to the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) to include sarcopenia prevention.

   - Integration of muscle health standards into Victorian aged care accreditation and primary health networks.

- To deliver evidence-based programs in Victoria, including community resistance training for seniors.

- To collaborate with Victorian research institutions, healthcare providers, and government bodies.
